"The meshing of passionate, skilled caring people equal wonderful benefits for the world."

- Tim Boundy

Chief Executive Officer

Who We Are

Our story began with a simple parental desire to protect little fingers from slamming doors. Over the next few years, Tim, a multi-faceted chemical industry sales leader by day, entrepreneur, and tinkerer by night, invented a revolutionary new approach that would put an end to the hazards and noises of slamming doors. Making a positive out of the pandemic, Tim and Terry discussed a way to bring this technology to the world in a useful way. What started as an off-hours passion project became Moshun, the company.

With the rest of the team joining in, Moshun morphed into an IP house focused on taking this innovative, ground-breaking tech and bringing it to life in the form of superior product solutions.

Moshun’s team of experts feature a broad range of capabilities from design, to engineering, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing. Together, we know what it takes to make dreams into commercial success.

We believe that with the right group of people anything is possible. Moshun has brought together a super-group of individuals who not only have world-class experience and expertise, but also infuse passion into what they do and how they live. We know that with those two ingredients on hand, possibilities abound.

If you are in the business of movement control, we’d love to hear from you and brainstorm custom solutions to your unique business challenges. Contact us today to get the conversation started.

Listen to our founders, Tim and Terry share their vision and Moshun’s mission to help ground-breaking technologies find commercial success.

Our People

Our team is bound together with a shared passion, curiosity, and creativity we practice every day to foster a culture of possibility. Meet our team.

Terry, a Founding Partner and the Chairman of Moshun, is a serial entrepreneur who knows how to form, develop, and scale business ventures from the ground up. In forming Moshun with Tim, Terry was inspired by the opportunity to bring the best of all the lessons he learned in all of the previous businesses and create something truly extraordinary.

Terry likes to dream big, and is the rare individual who knows how to make them reality. More than anything else, Terry believes that a strong foundation is the number one ingredient in building a long-lasting organization. He values the importance of setting clearly defined goals with short, medium and long term horizons, not just in business, but his personal life as well.

Terry believes that cultivating a positive work environment is crucial for creating motivated teams. From creating a brand new modern, collaborative work space for the Moshun team to leading woodworking team-building outings, Terry lives and leads authentically. An eternal optimist, Terry looks for the positive in every situation, and practices a daily attitude of gratitude.

Terry graduated from the University of Illinois – Chicago with a B.A. in Business Administration. He sits on the Board of Directors for Cornerstone National Bank & Trust, and the Iron Gate Motor Condos Association. He is a renowned car enthusiast and collector of rare and exotic automobiles, a loving husband and dad.

Tim embarked on a journey in 2012 to solve an everyday problem. He is the inventive type, with a tenacity to complete the mission. Joining forces with Terry in the early days of Covid, they began the structural foundation of what is now Moshun.

Tim’s varied background was a significant catalyst in the formation of the company. A career in the chemical industry combined with the fine details of building custom homes and the diligence needed to bring patented innovations to life in the cycling space sharpened the tools that have been there since childhood.

A lifetime athlete, Tim has been a competitive cyclist since 1989. He enjoys the thrill of the sport combined with the structure required for success, as well as the camaraderie of the many athletes he has met over the years. Family means the world to Tim, and his wife and two daughters have been a critical part of his life journey.

Tim believes inspiration can be found everywhere. He has an appreciation for the talent of high-level athletes, as well as those that decide to get out there and try something out of their comfort zone. He is a proud executive board member of GiGi’s Playhouse (www.gigisplayhouse.org), a charity focused on educational and therapeutic care for Down Syndrome.

More than anything, Tim’s goal is to build a great team and bring helpful innovation to life, while keeping a focus on the people, family and friends – the mission behind the mission.
